What is the COP?

COP stands for Conference of Parties, and refers to the yearly United Nations Conference on Climate Change. It is an international gathering of representatives from 195 countries who meet to decide policies vital to the health of our planet under the looming specter of climate change.

This year marks the 22nd meeting of the COP in Marrakech, where these 195 countries will look to ensure effective implementation of the Paris Agreement from COP-21, as it comes into force. Join us as we, the delegation from the University of Michigan, travel to the COP and share our firsthand insight from the negotiations.
