More details to come, but I just returned from the Klimaforum09 center, dubbed “The Peoples’ Climate Forum.” Bill McKibben spoke for over an hour and a half (he was only scheduled for about 45 minutes) as the crowd eagerly waited for the president of the Maldives to arrive from negotiations at the Bella Center.

Over the weekend, the carbon concentration cap of 350ppm was taken out of the legislation, despite that more than 100 nations around the world have signed on. McKibben and the president led the group of around 500 people in chanting, “Three-Five-Oh.”
